UKRAINE'S NEW "VILKHA" MLRS HAS SHOWN SUCCESSFULL RESULTS ON TESTS

Probably most positive news of the month is that the final tests of Ukraine's new Vilkha MLRS, that were held at a military training ground in Odesa Oblast,  ended with a successful result.

Two years have passed since the project was launched. In fact the Vilkha MLRS is an improved version of the Smerch MLRS, a modified by the Luch Design Bureau. The MLRS is equipped with 300mm caliber missiles, produced by Ukraine's Artem plant. All other component have also been made in Ukraine.

As the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine noted, this test has ended a whole stage in the work of Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of rocket technology. "Now we can say with certainty that Ukraine has a new powerful missile weapon which will become a valid argument for the deterrence of the aggressor," the NSDC secretary said. The MLRS is equipped with 300mm caliber missiles, produced by Ukraine's Artem plant. All other component have also been made in Ukraine. During the tests, a high-precision guidance system and ballistic characteristics were checked, as well as the efficiency of the new solid rocket fuel, and the reliability of the whole target's missile's impact.
