The "Azov" regiment published information about the origin of its fighters

Personnel Service of the "Azov" regiment analyzed the territorial origin of its fighters. The results surprised even the skeptics.

AZOV positions itself as the regiment of the nationalist views. Namely this distinguishing feature allowed the Russian media to aim most of its attacks against the "Azovians." "Fierce benderivtsy," "banderlogians," and "westerners" (that is, the ones from Western Ukraine) are called the fighters. Inspired by the Russian media associations turned them into the executioners from the Carpathians who came out of the woods and terrorize the population of Eastern and Southern Ukraine, opposing "Russian language" and "everything eastern."

However, the figures showed that the AZOV regiment is not only nationwide; its members mostly originate from Eastern Ukraine (30.5%). At the same time, there is almost no difference among those who came from the North (29.9%) and West (27.8%) of Ukraine. South (11.8%) gave every 10th fighter. 

AZOV regiment was formed on a basis of "Black Corps" - guerrilla group that began operations in March of 2014 and consisted solely of the representatives of the eastern regions of Ukraine. It's great that the guerrilla group which has become a core of the battalion and regiment in September was replenished by the residents from all areas of the state. There is only one question: where are the brave hearts from the glorified "Piedmont" - those whose grandparents, according to the stories, fought in the ranks of the UPA, and themselves have been fighting all nineties and two thousandth for the "Ukrainian Ukraine" and casted sidelong glances toward those who came from Eastern or Southern Ukraine?

Figures showed that in Ukraine is being created today a new community of passionaries, of those who in spite of language or origin from the "Moskalized regions" took up arms and shed blood for the independence of our country. Obviously, the example of Azov constitutes the declared principle of "united country." The poles disappear, and figures clearly demonstrate it.

In the future we will make public the results of the language issue in the regiment, which will probably surprise even more the Russian propaganda and will change the representation of the modern nationalists in the eyes of conscious Ukrainians.
