"Slovakia for Slovaks"! Mass protests against islamisation took place in Bratislava

A few thousand of Slovaks have joined the protest march against mandatory quotas for receiving migrants proposed by EU took place in Bratislava june 20. Dissatisfied with the migration policy of the EU, Slovak activists have organized a mass protest action through social networks, according to Reuters.

The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction with Brussels' plans to distribute the migrants from North Africa, who are mostly located in Italy and Greece now, among all the countries of the European Union. The rally was held under the slogans "Stop the Islamization of Europe", "Together against the dictates of Brussels!", "Europe for the Europeans!". The protest action ended by a clashes with police. Authorities reported on more than 140 detained protesters. According to police spokeswoman Tatiana Kurutsova, three officers were injured.

The number of protesters ranged from several hundred to several thousand in accordance with Slovak media. The real number of protesters was gathered (at least) 8 thousand people. The action was held on the eve of the EU summit.

Recall, the European Union is going to take about 40 thousand refugees, Slovakia, which is home to 5.5 million people will be required to take 785 migrants during two years according to the mandatory quota.

More than 70% of citizens do not agree with the reception of refugees on quotas proposed by the EU according to a poll conducted by the Republican television earlier this week. 

The Slovak government is also firmly opposed to the distribution of illegal refugees in the EU Member States according to the quotes, proposed by the Commission. Prime Minister Robert Fico has offered to make the discussion to the next meeting of the national parliament.
