THE DEEPLY CONCERNED ONES FROM THE EU

Folk wisdom says - the bitterest truth is better than the sweetest lie. This old proved has become quite actual for Ukraine in last years, since there are still many people, who prefer to live in the world of sweet illusions instead to finally realize a bitter but an invigorative truth of real order of things.

Using the rhetorics of "deep concern about the situation in Ukraine" during the Maidan events the Brussels bureaucrats had been trying to impact the revolutionary force and impose a pacifist scenario upon it, even despite that  such course of things didn't meet the actual conditions of that situation, not to say of the national interests of Ukraine.

The very fact a conflict settlement has more significance for some European structures then what is behind the conflict.

Recently another European high ranking politician shown his true intentions. Recall, during his recent visit to Russia the Secretary General Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland called Ukraine "an elephant in the room,"  defining it as an underlying cause of misunderstanding between Russia and the rest of Europe. Jagland added that if the current situation will not be resolved in the near future, it will be quite difficult to find the way to its improvement in future, since "he had the impression" that Russian politicians are willing to renew dialogue and cooperation with the West. The Secretary General's words have caused many counter questions, as well as the claim that Russian politicians are allegedly seeking for compromise, which clearly demonstrates the level of "competence" of the European official.

The very fact that mr Jagland takes seriously Lavrov's words that Moscow will respect all decisions taken "under the European Convention on Human Rights" indicates that many of the Western politicians are ready cooperate with the Kremlin despite all crimes Russia would do in the international arena.

Retreating the issue of Russia's invasion to Ukraine, we can remind some events of Russian military campaign in Syria, in particular recent bombings of schools and hospitals in Aleppo, which is another key point to understand  how worthless the "peacekeeping" statements of Russian diplomats are.

Quite ironic is the fact that during his meeting mr Jagland also discussed with Russia's president the theme of human rights defense in Russia and emphasized that Russian citizens who have faced injustice can apply to the Strasbourg court. Recall that ordinary Russians have been sentenced to a several years term in prison just because they liked or shared a post in a social network. We can also remember numerous Russian civic activists, right defenders who have been put behind the bars on fabricated cases for their active position, as well as Ukrainian political prisoners. Considering the above it can be concluded that the Russian Federation is definitely not a country where you can expect for justice.

Considering the above it can be concluded that the Russian Federation is definitely not a country where you can expect for justice, and talk with its leaders about human rights and fair courts it's the same as speaking of a humanity and love of neighbor with a serial killer. However, the West does not understand or does not want to understand this.

The only conclusion we can make from the above is that Ukraine can rely neither on bureaucratic international structures, nor on international agreements, only on its own people and force.
