A RUSSIAN BACKED TERRORIST GROUP, RESPONSIBLE FOR SERIES OF INTERNATIONAL PROVOCATIONS, HAS BEEN DETAINED BY SBU
The Security Service of Ukraine unveiled a video with captured members of the Torpeda terrorist group - that bears responcibility for a number of attacks in different region of Ukraine - whose members were planning to another interethnic provocation. This time the plan was to detonate a Hungarian monument in the Zakarpattia region.
The video includes parts, taken from surveillance cameras that captured the terrorists in places of previous crimes, including against religious organizations and foreign diplomatic representations.
Thus, the said gang is responsible for a grenade explosion near the US Embassy in Kyiv, a shelling of the Polish consulate in Lutsk with a grenade launcher, the grenade explosion at Hrushevsky Street on Independence Day, an undermining of the monument to the combatants at the Kurbas Street in Kyiv, as well as the grenade explosion in Uman and a number of attacks on Jewish institutions in Lviv, Chernivatsy and Uman.
"The SBU employees detained two intruders on the border of the Lviv and Zakarpattia regions on the Veretskiy pass when they were installing explosives under the Seven Hungarian Tribes monument. During the search of the detainees' car, three RGD-5 and F-1 grenades, and other instruments for committing a crime have been seized." - the SBU report reads.
It was found that the terrorist group had been funded and supervised by former functionaries of the pro-Russian Yanukovich's Party of Regions.
