POLISH PARLIAMENT HAS DRIVEN ANOTHER WEDGE BETWEEN UKRAINIANS AND POLES

Few days ago the Polish parliament adopted a draft law on "Prohibition of the promotion of banderism in Poland," developed by the Kukiz'15 political party, known as one of the escalators of anty-Ukrainian hysteria in Polish policy. Obviously, under the concept of "banderism" they meant the ideology of Ukrainian nationalism - referring to Stepan Badera as one of the ideologists of Ukraine's nationalist resistance of the first half of XX century - hough in their own, weirdos interpretation of the one. In general, 279 of the 450 deputies of the Polish Sejm cast their votes for the contraversial bill, that provides the possibility of bringing to criminal responsibility for the propagation of Ukrainian nationalism ideas in Poland

Ie now if someone would try to challenge the allegation of some Polish historians on "crimes, committed by the Ukrainian nationalists against Polish population or collaboration with the Third Reich in the WW2 period" then the one can be liable to criminal prosecution in Poland. At the same time, unlikely there is at least one person among the bill authors or the MP's who voted for it, who is familiar with works of Dontsov, Stsiborsky, Bandera or any other ideologist of the Ukrainian nationalism.

Unfortunately, inflating historical contradictions between Ukraine and Poland of the interwar and the WW2 period, the part of Polish historians haven't deliberately mentioned a number of uncomfortable moments, such as: the facts of cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish nationalist insurgents; ethnic cleanings of Ukrainian population that the Polish army had committed on the terriroty of modern Eastern Poland and Western Ukraine; the UPA had been cleased by the Nuremberg Process.

Yuriy Nojevy - a Ukrainian right-wing activist and a member of brotherly Svoboda party - has very aptly described the situation:  "The Sejm of Poland is literally burying the Intermarium alliance idea. Thus, Poland has played into the hands of world's anti-national and anti-Christian extreme liberalism. As well as on Russia's benefit, against whom the national movements all-over the Eastern Europe have been fighting in the first place. By own actions Poland placing itself against the national movements of Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and Slovakia... Poland is gradually destroyed the possibility of historical reconciliation for the sake of the future. For the sake of the right to the Motherland. Instead, it cultivates hostility in Eastern Europe. Extreme liberalism and Russia are applauding!"
