"ALFA-DISGRACE" - A RUSSIAN BANK IS STILL FREE TO OPERATE IN UKRAINE

While the world's community gives Ukraine a hand in struggle against Russian hybrid invasion, imposing sanctions against the Russian authorities, companies and financial institutions, the Ukrainian authorities itself violates them if it comes to personal financial benefit.

Thus, Peter Aven, the co-owner and chairman of the board of directors of the holding company of the Russian Alfa Bank banking group, arrived to Ukraine on March 2. Recall, along with Michael Friedman, Hermann Khan and Alexei Kuzmichyov, mr Aven was included in the so-called "The Kremlin Report" of the US Congress, prepared by the US Department of the Treasury on January 29, 2018. According to the press, Mr. Aven's visit goal was to legitimize the completion of the previously acquired Ukrsotsbank integration process to the Alfa-Bank.

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian government does not consider Alfa-Bank to be owned by persons closely related to the Kremlin. Interesting that the main defender of the Russian bank interests in Ukraine was the National Bank of Ukraine scandalous head Valerya Gontareva. Thanks to her lobby and support from the administration of the president the Alfa-Bank  managed to avoid sanctions imposed by Ukraine in 2017 against enterprises with Russian capital. At the same time, the Alfa-Bank remains the only bank in Ukraine that, despite the moratorium introduced by the government, continues to confiscate people's houses for unpaid loans.

In addition, taking into account the specifics of the Bank's operations, in particular its previous cooperation with a number of military units and lending programs for the war participants the Alfa-Bank has the opportunity to accumulate a database of Ukrainian citizens that can be transferred to the Russian intelligence. In general, in conditions of Russian aggression it is unacceptable that Ukraine allows Putin's friends to arrange their bussiness meetings right in the heart of Ukraine. Especially taking into account that the aforementioned bank had been taking active part in Russia's financial occupation of Ukraine, Moscow has launched in 00's...
