UKRAINE'S FORCES DESTROYED THE TERRORISTS' ARTILLERY BATTERY IN RESPONCE TO A MORTAR SHELLING OF A VILLAGE

In the morning of May 25, using heavy mortars the DPR terrorists shelled the village of Stara Mykolaivka (Konstantinivsky district, Donetsk oblast). In result of the shelling the enemy hit one of Ukrainian artillery munitions depots, which was placed near the village, causing insignificant casualities. Shooting in response, Ukraine's artillery managed to destroy the enemy's mortar battery and three Urals. This was reported by the Joint Forces Operation press-center.

"At 4:45 AM the enemy fired 17 shells of 152 mm caliber upon the souther ourskirt of Stara Mykolaivka village. One of the shells hit the territory of a military facility, where a small portion of ammunition was stored. The enemy carried fire from residential neighborhoods of the Komsomolsk district of the city of Gorlivka. 

By an accurate response - which wasn't aimed at civic objects of Gorlivka, on which the enemy was counting on - the Joint Forces artillery destroyed two howitzers and an artillery warehouse of the so-calleed 3th motorized infantry brigade of the 1st DPR army corps." - the report reads.

Judging on bilateral reports on the artillery duel no victims among civilians at the location on that morning was fixed. As for the terrorist shelled settlement - 20 locals had to be evacuated from the village of Stara Mykolaivka, he chairman of the Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration reported.
