STOLEN HISTORY: MAYOR OF UKRAINIAN TOWN ASKS THE PRESIDENT TO RENAME UKRAINE INTO "UKRAINE-RUS" IN ACCORDANCE TO HISTORY

Volodymyr Zagryvy, head of the town administration of Novograd Volynski (Zhytomyr region) came up with the proposal to rename the state of Ukraine into "Ukraine-Rus" of "Rus", zhitomir.info reports with reference to the Department of Information and Public Relations of Novograd-Volynski town Rada.

"Mayor Volodymyr Zagryvy issued an order No147 of 07/28/15, which refers to the proposal to the President of Ukraine to initiate amendments and additions to the Constitution of Ukraine on renaming the state of Ukraine into name 'Ukraine-Rus' (Kievan Rus)," the press service says.
The proposal will be forwarded to the Parliament, the Government and the Association of Ukrainian Cities for reviewing and discussing.

The corresponding letter was sent to the President of Ukraine, the statement says.

The letter stresses that the name Rus was stolen from the Ukrainian people and its glorious history and was awarded by Russia a few centuries ago. "This fact will be the best expression of respect for millions of Ukrainian patriots who gave their lives for the Nation," the press service says.

A year ago Volodymyr Zagryvy decided to work for free in order to save public funds of Ukraine.
