HISTORY OF STRUGGLE FOR UKRAINIAN DONBASS
The war in eastern Ukraine began neither in 2014, nor five and nor ten years ago. It was started with the peasant uprisings against the Soviet occupation government all over Ukraine. A well known fact is that the most intensive these uprisings were at the western and central Ukraine, but the fact numerous anti-Soviet uprisings at eastern Ukraine is hushed diligently by the Russian historians till now.
One of the most mass was the Pavlograd's uprising, which was attended by over a thousand of Ukrainian peasants, who honoured their culture, history and language. Donbass population spoke Ukrainian till 1932. We can find the evidence of this in the novels, written by a number of Ukrainian writers of those years, such as Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky, Marko Vovchok, Hryhory Kvitka-Osnovyanenko. They show us the everyday life of Ukrainians at eastern Ukraine, for whom a Moskowite has personified itself as an ordinary cad and drunkard.
Then the red plague came to our land. Moscowian horde came to our land with one purpose to destroy Ukrainians, who didn't obey to the system. They have used different methods - artificial famine (Holodomor), repressions, mass killings. Little children were died of starvation literally in a mothers' hands, while the grain from rich Ukrainian fields were confiscated by a soldiers of the Red Army and just rotted at warehouses.
Ukrainian cities, towns and villages of Donbass, where you could hear Ukrainian folk songs and carols, were colonized by so-called multinational "Soviet people", who have brought a foreign language, culture and life into Ukrainian land throught death and disorder.
And now someone from outside tries to impose us an opinion that the west of Ukraine isn't our ethical land and the people of Donbass are different from Ukrainians in language, culture and life.
The truth is that Donbass is Ukraine, and we cannot tolerate the fact that modern incarnation of the Asian Horde tries to occupy our eastern lands again. We must fight, we must remember the courageous people, who up to defend Ukraine at the steppes of Donbass and Slobozhanschina in 30's. We must remember a mothers, who sang Ukrainian lullabies for their children, until this wasn't a crime. We must remember a children who died of starvation in the mothers' arms. For Ukrainian Donbass!
