"WE ARE OF THE SAME BLOOD" BELARUSIANS HAVE DONATED THE BLOOD FOR UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS

Recently, Belarusian football fans, who came to Lviv to support the national team of Belarus in match against Ukraine as part of the group stage of selection for Euro 2016 have donated blood for Ukrainian soldiers, which were wounded during the battles for the freedom of Ukraine at Donbass. The joint action of Belarusian and Ukrainian fans was carried under the slogan "We are of the same blood."

The initiative to donate blood came from the Belarusian fans. Taras Pavlov, leader of the FC "Karpaty" Lviv fan-movement says that the Belarusian fans called to him and have proposed to make such action.

"This is a joint action, we want to support our soldiers who are injured now and who need our help. Blood donation - it's not so much. And we have always considered the Belarusians for a brotherly people." - says Solomia, 19 years old girl from Lviv, who has also came to the action.

"Ukrainian football players are also brothers for me. Why do I give blood? I wish to do something for the independent Ukraine" - says Vladimir, Belarusian fan from Minsk.

In addition to the action of donating the blood Ukrainian and Belarusian fans have carried joint march at the center of Lviv under the slogans "Long live Belarus", "Glory to Ukraine", "For your and our freedom!", video from the march is here.
