YURIY SYROTYUK WAS RELEASED FROM IMPRISONMENT

Yuriy Syrotyuk, a member of "Svoboda" nationalist movement who was imprisoned for two months on political grounds was released on MP's bail by the leader of "Right Sector" and a deputy of Ukraine Dmytro Yarosh on September 15. In addition, Yarosh filed a formal MP's appeal in protection of the political prisoner. We recall that Yuriy Syrotyuk was arrested under the pretext of initiation the "incitement" of a protest action near the parliament, caused by passing of scandalous laws on decentralisation by the government on August 31.

That is the statement with request to release Yuri Syrotyuk on bail, filed by Dmytro Yarosh to the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv: 

The fact of the arrest of the deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Movement "Svoboda", the MP of VII convocation Yuriy Syrotyuk caused a wave of indignation into the society.

We have been long familiar with mr Syrotyuk and I contend that this man has always subordinated his own interests to the interests of the nation and the state. 

Yuriy Syrotyuk is a true patriot, an activists of national-liberation movement of Ukraine, a participant of the national struggle for the honor of the nation during the Revolution of Dignity, in addition Yury is a participant of struggle against the Russian invader as a volunteer.

Should be also mentioned that mr Syrotyuk has came to the trial after receiving of a summons to court as befits a decent citizen.

Due to with the situation that has developed as a result of the arrest of Yuri Syrotyuk, I address you the statement, in which informs that I am going to take the arrested person for my personal bail.

I also vouch for the fulfillment of assigned duties by mr. Syrotyuk under Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and undertake to deliver him to the office of  pre-trial investigation or to the court on the first request.

Given all of the above and guided by Articles 180 and 176 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine I ask you to release Yuriy Syrotyuk from imprisonment on my personal surety.
