LEFT EU-OPTIMISTS STAND UP FOR RUSSIAN PROPAGANDISTS IN UKRAINE
Inter to the cemetery |
The line between the lefts of pro-Moscow and pro-EU orientation is very conditional in today's Ukraine, since even if some local organization of left liberal persuasion really has no direct relation to Moscow, in its activities it often plays into Moscow's hand. A striking example of this is the recent article by the Politicna Kritika web resource entitled "protest against the Inter: the far-right impose their attitude to the channel," in which they touched upon the recent protests against the scandalous TV channel by in Kyiv.
The article is very voluminous, the authors decided to entertain a reader by developing some conspiracy theories on the topic, but its main purpose is clearly to discredit the nationalists' struggle against one of the biggest centers of the enemy's propaganda in Ukraine.
In general the Politichna Kritika web magazine specializes on the promotion of modern extreme liberal left ideas of multiculturalism, feminism and LGBT as well as fight "right extremism." It is closely associated with the Polish and German left organizations. The "revealing" article on the nationalists' struggle against the Inter TV channel was prepared by the members of Left & Right project of explicit left orientation and negative relation to the Ukrainian patriotic movement.
In the article its authors have been trying to present the available information in such a light to expose the nationalists as a force, which acts solely for its own benefit and executes orders the current authorities. Obviously, people who accustomed to live on foreign grants (such as Soros's "International Renaissance Foundation"), it is difficult to understand the motivation of those who strive each day to uphold national dignity, sacrificing their own interests.
The leftists are outraged about the fact that it is the nationalists who form a discourse of opposition to the Kremlin propaganda in Ukraine. However, it is quite natural, since the nationalists have been in the forefront of resistance to the Russian invaders in both internal and external front. At the same time the Ukrainian right forces have never tried to monopolize their own struggle. For example, there are many people among those politicians, public activists and ordinary citizens, who have consolidated opposing the Kremlin's propagandist TV channel, are not directly related to the nationalist movement.
Incidentally, the aforementioned leftist journalists had not confined with indirect protection of the Inter. By defending the Kremlin's propaganda mouthpiece they had touched upon the activities of the team of Mirotvorets website, who collect information about the terrorists participating the war in Donbass and the enemy's agents throughout Ukraine. As the article authors claim: "site violates basic civil rights," and therefore it's allegedly fair that it "often becomes the object of proceedings by the human rights activists and liberal journalists."
Of course, we could ignore the given provocative publication by the Potichna Kritika, and don't advertise them. At least, there are many illustrative evidences of the fact that the line between the pro-EU leftists and those oriented at Moscow is quite illusory. As an example we can remind an attempt Kyiv liberal leftists to hold a rally on January 19, officially dedicated to the memory of two Russian anti-fascists, represented as "victims of Putin's authoritarian regime." In fact, the action was directed against the Ukrainian nationalists, especially the volunteers-veterans of the war in Donbass. Particularly, the leftist rally was attended by persons associated with the Borotba communist group (tied and funded by the German Die Linke neo-stalinists), which was behind the deployment of the separatist movement in the south and east regions of Ukraine (including the cities of Kharkiv and Odessa), and later have been participating the "Opolchenie Novorossiy" terrorist group.
The given case with provocative article at the leftist liberal webresource is very symbolic first of all because of its pettiness. It proves that all these liberals will be ready to advocate the Kremlin interests in every episodic case if this will allow them once again to pour dirt upon the "right extremists."
