YOUNG WAR HEROES HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE TITLE OF A HERO OF UKRAINE POSTHUMOUSLY

Andriy "Khoma" Snitik and Serhiy "Sever" Tabala, young war heroes, soldiers of volunteer battalions and passionate patriots who sacrificed own lifes for friends and the fatherland in the age of 18. Both they have been posthumously awarded with the Hero of Ukraine title, the relevant decree has been approved by the president.

Andriy "Khoma" Snitik was a soldier of the Azov volunteer regiment (when it was only a battalion). Despite a young age he was an active member of the nationalist movement. Andriy had actively participated in the the protest movement during the revolutionary events of 2013-14. Since the begigning of Russian military intervention into Ukraine the young patriot joined the Black Men volunteer guerrilla group, which has subsequently became the Azov battalion. In the peroid of July-August 2014 he had displayed an outstanding courage and bravery in a series of military operations of liberation of the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region. Khoma's life abruptly ended in August of 2014, during the battles in city of Ilovaysk. Performing a military opreation in the city Andriy shown an example of real courage and self-sacrifice when laid his chest down on a grenade, that was thrown towards his group, and his brothers from a certain death.

Serhiy "Sever" Tabela was a fighter of the Right Sector Ukrainian Volunteer Corps (UVC RS). Since an early age he showed himself as a passionate patriot and active member of the nationalist movement in his native city of Summy. During the active phase of revolutionary protests in Kyiv Serhiy had been a commander of one of the RIght Sector's units. Since the outbreak of war in the Donbass he joined the Right Sector's volunteer formation and had passed through a number of hot points of the frontline. Sever has met his death on November 6, 2014 in the Airport Donetsk, by receiving a mortal wound during a battle in the airport's control tower. Serhiy Tabala was buried in the Alley of honorary citizens of the city of Summy.

Burning hearts and noble souls. Despite the young age their names will go down in the history of Ukrainian national-liberation struggle. Glory to the heroes.
