POLISH PROXIES OF KREMLIN: AN ARSON ATTACK ON HUNGARIAN CULTURE CENTER IN ZAKARPATTIA

On February 4, the unknown persons arsoned the building of the Hungarian Culture Society of Zakarpattia (HCSZ). This incident has caused a violent reaction in both Ukrainian and Hungarian media and triggered a number of conspiracy theories, warmed by the already tense relations between the countries. Recently, the head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Gennadiy Moskal noticed that the provocative arson was committed with involvment of a goup of radicals from a EU member country, who had been participated in military conflict in Donbass on the Russia-guided terrorists side. And he had a reason to say so - is the approaching arrival of the first lady of Ukraine Marina Poroshenko and the wife of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Aniko Levai to Uzhgorod, that was held on February 14 in Uzhgorod. Mr. Moskal had to demonstrate that the situation in the region and the investigation's cource is under his personal control.

However, as it was found out by the Ukrainian nationalists of the Natsionalny Corpus movement in result of common work with Polish colleagues, the arson was made by members of the Polish Phalanga far-right organisation, that is known by sympathies to Moscow and Russia's ruling regime. The purpose of this sabotage is clear - to cancel the Ukrainian-Hungarian diplomatic event, that was scheduled for 14 February. According to the plans of the saboteurs, the arson should have add fuel to the contradictions in diplomathic sphere, that exists between the countries.

According to information available, this sabotage was a sort of an aptitude test, which the Russian curators arranged to their proxies. For information, the Phalanga representatives had been participating the hostilities on the Russian occupation forces side in 2014. Some of them continue to support the invaders. The leader of this group, Bartosz Becker, is an open supporter of Pan-Slavism idea, however, in Moscow's interpretation of the one, ie deepening of Russia's expancion to all-over the East Europe and Blakans.

Russian curators ceep using same old Cheka methods of checking the "devotion" of their foreign subjects. According to the information available, the curators have credited phalangists' arson attempt. During the study of this issue, the nationalists have found that information about the arson attack preparation by the Moscow proxies was available to the Security Service of Ukraine in advance.

Taking this opportunity once again, it would be appropriate to ask once again why, with the availability of reliable data on the abovementioned organisation's activities in the Donbass, it was left out of the attention of Ukrainian law-enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Security and Defense Council and the administration of the President of Ukraine. Was this another simple mistake or open neglect of memory of those who perished for our land fighting the Russian aggressor in the Donbass?

upd for 28.02.18: The Polish internal security agency detained Poles suspected of arson of the building of the regional office of the Hungarian Culture Society of Zakarpattia.
