JANUARY 22, UKRAINIANS CELEBRATED THE DAY OF UNIFICATION OF UKRAINE

Yesterday, January 22, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Unification of Ukraine. On the sate level this day is celebrated since 1999 as the day of proclamation of the Act of reunification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic in January 1919.

Traditionally, this day Kyiv's activists are initiating a symbolic human chain of unity on the bridge of Paton, which lies through the Dnipro river and united unites two sides of the Ukrainian land.
