BALTIC NATIONALISTS HELD AN ACTIONS OF SOLIDARITY WITH UKRAINE

On the evening of January 4, a patriotic actions of solidarity with Ukraine and its national-liberation struggle against Russia were held by the members of Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian nationalist organisations near the Ukrainian embassies in Kaunas, Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn. The actions were held under the slogans "Don't forget about Ukraine", "Putin hands off Ukraine!" and "Stop Putin."

"It is clear, that the Minsk agreements doesn't work. The war continues in Ukraine, however the world forgets about it by focusing on Syria. That's why we have initiated this international campaign in solidarity with Ukraine." - noted Mindaugas Sidaravichyus, a head of the Lithuanian Nationalist Youth Union.

During the common action the activists have lit candles in memory of the Ukrainian soldiers, who sacrificed their lives defending their Fatherland. In addition, within the action in Riga the Latvian nationalists have initiated raising funds to purchase of SUV for the 95th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The common action was initiated by such nationalst organisations as the Lithuanian Nationalist Youth Union, the Blue Aveakening (Estonia), the Latvian national association "All for Latvia" and the Ukrainian "Youth Nationalist Congress," which cooperate within the Alliance of Baltic-Black Sea nations.

"We are grateful to our friends for support! The governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia help our country not only in words, but in real deeds. We are, the youth, cannot afford to be passive, even such actions is a small contribution to our victory." - said Dmytro Jmalo, one of a coordinators of the Alliance of Baltic-Black Sea Alliance and a deputy head of the Youth Nationalist Congress.
