DUC Right Sector commander condemns the Poroshenko's legislative initiatives

The commander of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps (DUC) "Right Sector" Andriy Stempitskiy condemns the Poroshenko`s legislative initiatives aimed at rejection of sovereignty over the occupied territories of Donbass.

March 17 in Parliament was scheduled to vote on a bill, aimed at recognizing the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" as autonomies, uncontrolled by Kyiv.

Moreover, 16 March Poroshenko has submitted to Parliament a draft law on approval of official recourse to the UN Security Council and the Council of the European Union to deploy the "peacekeeping mission" on the Eastern Ukraine.

Recall that in September Poroshenko said that no peacekeepers in the Donbas will not, because the introduction of peacekeepers - a rejection of sovereignty.

In addition, according to experts, the introduction of peacekeepers in Ukraine will be beneficial for Russia: "All this talks about deprivation of veto right for Russia or even deprivation of its place in the UN Security Council is quite unrealistic at this moment (the official West is not ready for this level of confrontation with Moscow today, in practice), That is these peacekeepers, if they really comes, of course, will be coordinated with a few countries, including Russia. In this case we can expect that: a) they will play a purely ceremonial role and will not interfere in the course of the conflict (as in Bosnia and Croatia in the 1990s); b) they will contribute for freezing of the conflict and subsequent division of Ukraine (as in Cyprus in 1970)." says political scientist Alexander Maslak. The analyst believes that Russia's declared position "against" - is just to play their role according to pre-written scenario. 

Andriy Stempitskiy emphasized disastrous character of Poroshenko`s actions and calls it as demonstration of contempt to heroism, which Ukrainian nation shows in the war.

"Why you still don't believe in your nation? Did you not respect the heroism, that was shown during this war? It is not the best option to call this foreigners to solve our issues. It's very short-sighted decision. Remember the history, it has a lot of examples." - said the Volunteer Corps commander.
