A SEPARATIST ACTIVIST WAS DETAINED AT THE CHECKPOINT TO CRIMEA

A separatist activist was detained this morning on the checkpoint Chongar by the members of Civil Corps "Azov" and the soldiers of "Right Sector" Volunteer Corps.

After detainment the person, who attempted to cross the checkpoint was checked in a separatist base, the checking showed that he is listed in so-called "E" list, it means that the detainee is a Russian extremist.


Immediately were taken a steps on identify the separatist had a dual citizenship - Ukrainian and Russian. Later turned out that the detainee is a head of Alushta branch of Youth Guard (a youth wing of Putin's "United Russia" political party) and a chairman of a charity fund, which collects funds to help the separatists.

After a short conversation with the activists the detainee admitted his involvement in two mentioned above organisations. Later a representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine have arrived to the checkpoint.
