RIGHT SECTOR DEFENDS THE CITIZENS' RIGHT ON FAIR ELECTIONS IN MARIUPOL

Soldiers of the "Right Sector" Volunteer Corps defended the public activists, who have started a protest action to falsify the elections to local councils in Mariupol.

October 17, an unlawful decision on printing of extra election ballots was adopted by Mariupol's territorial electoral commission at one of local typographies, which belongs to well-known pro-Russian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov. A trick with extra ballots is a very popular method of election fraud since Yanukovych's times, its essence lies in replacing real voters' ballots on fake before it will be sent to election committee for check. 

In this way the election process turns into formality with pre-known result. Local authorities and representatives of "law enforcements" have closed their eyes on such "combinations," initiated by Akhmetov-backed swindlers, moreover, a unit of MIA has arrived to the typography to protect a falsification process. Nevertheless, Akhmetov's "ballots factory" was blocked by local civic activists on October 18.  

Despite the fact that Right Sector doesn't participate in these elections, the Right Sector UVC soldiers have joined the action in order to protect the public activists of Mariupol and prevent provocations. According to participants of the blockade exactly the Right Sector soldiers helped them to get inside the topography.

We emphasize - these elections will neither be fair, nor honest, so Right Sector will not participate in it. We don't support any of candidates, but we will not sant beside if someone try to fool the Ukrainian people!
