ON HUNGARY'S CLAIMS TO NEW UKRAINIAN EDUCATIONAL LAW
The authorities of Hungary - in which you will not find a single Ukrainian school - continue its groundless hysteria around Ukraine's new education law, which obligates Hungarian schools in Ukraine to conduct the main part of the educational cource in the state language. Instead they demand to leave only Hungarian language in the Ukrainian schools for Hungarian minority. Otherwise, Hungary shall ban the European integration process for Ukraine.
What can I say ... more than 4 thousand Ukrainians died for for Ukraine during the Revolution and the War of Independence. And there are etnic Hungarians among them. They have sacrificed own lives for a new free and independent state, for the freedom of Ukrainian nation. And if an independent Ukraine does not suit some politicians in any countries, they should understand as soon as possible - there will be no compromises. Our education, culture and language - this is our independence, which Ukrainians have been protecting it not by beurocratic paperwork, but with weapons in their hands. And theirther Russian tanks and "Smerches", nor officials in Budapest are able to break us.
The faster our neighbors are understand that Ukraine is spreading its shoulders and will not allow itself to be humiliated and used as a resource territory, the sooner our relations will normalize, and it will brings more benefits to whole the region.
Thank God, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a tough answer to the groundless statement of the Hungarian authorities. The same goes for the Romanian demarche.
But what's more important - by such sort of statements the Hungarian officials are disparaging the memory of Hungarians, who have been defending their Ukrainian motherland, and especially those of them, who gave their lives for its freedom.
These people not just knew Ukrainian language - they departed to the eastern front clearly realising what they were going to fight for. Unfortunately, some people in Hungary sill cannot understand one essential thing - too big price we have paid for our freedom, and there's no way back.
Being ethnic Hungarians they had an option to say "it's not my war," and migrate to Hungary. Instead they had decided to fight fo the country they used to live in against those, who came to deprive Ukraine the right for its culture, language, memory. Let's remember them:
- Roland Popovich from the Zakarpattya's town of Beregovo; 19 years old. A soldier of the 15th Battalion of the 128th Brigade, who died defending a block post in Luhansk region on June 14, 2014.

Shandor Tovt, 44 years old. A resident of the Beregovo town. Senior sergeant of the 128th brigade, died at the BMP during a breakthrough of the Debaltseve encirclement on February 17, 2015.
