Anti-imperial front of Georgia

The Georgian authorities allowed its citizens to fight on the side of Ukraine.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Levan Izoria.

"The Georgian parliament is considering amendments to the Criminal Code, which provide for the introduction of criminal responsibility for participating in illegal military units abroad.


These amendments do not apply to those citizens of Georgia who are fighting in Ukraine under the jurisdiction of the legitimate authorities of Ukraine." - Izoria said.

We recall that Ukraine and Georgia have friendly relations in the field of volunteer assistance. Volunteers from the Ukrainian nationalist organization UNA-UNSO took part in the defense of Abkhazia during the Russian invasion to Georgia. Also, Georgian volunteers began to join the ranks of Ukrainian volunteer battalions after beginning of the conflict in the Donbass.
