Nationalist march dedicated to 106th anniversary since the birthday of Stepan Bandera took place in Kyev at January 1
At evening of January 1 representatives of the "Right Sector", "Svoboda" and other nationalist organizations held a joint march in honor of the leader of the Ukrainian nation, national ideologist, freedom fighter Stepan Bandera.
The march participants started gathering near the Taras Shevchenko monument about five o'clock. The march began at six o'clock and went from Shevchenko Park to the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square).
From 5 to 12 thousand nationalists join the torchlight procession, according to various estimates.
First, "Right Sector" and "Svoboda" planned individual events. But later deputy of the Right Sector leader Andriy Tarasenko proposed to hold common march. This initiative was warmly supported by members of "Svoboda" political party.
Rally took place at the Independence Square after the march. Speech of Victor Serdulets, Lieutenant Colonel of the "Tryzub of Stepan Bandera" was the most accurate. Serdulets stressed the importance to realize that genuine national revolution has not yet taken place. And consequently it will be in future! Lieutenant Colonel`s speech ended by the chanting slogan "Revolution!", we think it could be heard and the Presidential Administration.
