In memory of the heroes of the "Battle of Kruty"

January 29, 2015 at 18:00 pm military-political movement "Right Sector" will hold a ceremonial torchlight march dedicated to the heroes of the "Battle at Kruty".

The procession will be held from the Arsenalna underground station through the Ivana Mazepa street and the avenue of the Heroes of Kruty to the Askold's Grave memorial. At the end of the march a rally will hold to commemorate of the Heroes of Kruty at the Askold's Grave memorial.

As we remember the battle that took place in January 1918 at the railway the station of Kruty was important for Ukrainian independence, because then the young patriots won a landslide victory and the attack of the Communist invaders was stopped. Russian-Bolshevik army lost fighting ability for a few days. The aggressor had to pull new forces, to repair eroded and destroyed bridges and railways, and only then continue its offensive to Kyiv. Ukrainian Cadets and Cossacks defended a major railway line in this battle so Russian invaders was forced to use  a carts pulled by horses.

We remember the heroism of our ancestors, and remind the ideals of patriotism and self-sacrifice for modern Ukrainian youth. We invite everyone to join the march.
