AN ORGANISER OF TERRORIST ATTACKS IN ODESSA WAS DETAINED BY SBU

A performer of two terrorist attacks in Odessa in Spring of of 2014 was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine. The arrestee is a resident of Odessa. In April of 2014 he made a series of massive arsons, one of which was made in an apartment building. After committing the terrorist attacks he fled to the occupied territories of the Luhansk region, when he had continued to cooperate with the Kremlin-backed terrorists. 

Recently the terrorists' leadership decided that there is no threat to him after two years in non-occupied territories, so the terrorist has back home with new tasks. Hoverer, the employees of Security Service have detained him just after returning. After searching in the terrorist's house was found two explosive devices filled with striking elements - screws and nuts.


The arrestee is charged in terrorism under the article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The Security Service has started operational-investigative actions to determine the city objects, where the terrorist attacks were planned.
