KYIV OFFICE OF KREMLIN PROPAGANDIST TV CHANNEL WAS BVLOCKED BY UKRAINIAN PATRIOTS TODAY

The TV channel "Inter" was founded in 1996, since then it became perhaps the main center of the Kremlin propaganda in Ukraine. The TV channel is a part of the media holding U.A. Inter Media Group Limited, which is part of the DF Group, owned by oligarch Dmytro Firtash.

During the anti-regime struggle on Maidan two years ago "Inter" was the main megaphone of Yanukovych's regime. Recently, Inter has shamed itself once again. Maria Stolyarova, a citizen of Russian and a chief editor of the TV channel has insulted the Heavenly Hundred by interrupting a live broadcast from the Independence Square of Kyiv during commemoration of the Maidan heroes with the words "Come on, finish this b***t." Yesterday Maria Stolyarova was expelled from Ukraine under supervision of the Security Service (SBU), she also prohibited to enter the country for five years.

"Prior to that, SBU officers conducted an investigation into Stolyarova's activity. They were interested in the dirty words of the Russian citizen uttered on air during a story about the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. They also asked questions regarding her stay in the temporarily occupied territories in 2014 and a probable involvement in the "DPR/LPR" activity.
Her posts in social media, which may contain traces of anti-Ukrainian propaganda, undergo systemic analysis, with a corresponding conclusion to follow.
The SBU has decided to cut the duration of her stay in the territory of Ukraine for committing acts detrimental to the interests of our state. For the same reasons, she is banned from entering the country for a five-year period," the SBU statement notes.

Previously Ukrainian nationalists repeatedly stressed the need to ban the channel's activity due to clear anti-Ukrainian character of materials, broadcasted by it. Against the background of latest incident activists of the Civic Corps Azov have launched blockade of Kyiv office of the TV channel "Inter." Today in the morning the activists came to the building of the TV company in order to meet representatives of "Inter." However, they found that the doors were locked and the channel representatives are not willing to talk with the activists. Taking this into account, the activists started blockade of the TV channel's central office. At the same time, "Inter" employees are attempting to block the office from inside.

"Currently all entrances to the building are blocked. "Inter" isn't works. The all-Ukrainian action "StopInter" is ongoing. By this blockade we will stop the Kremlin's propaganda megaphone activities, at least for some time. We not oppose freedom of speech, we oppose the Kremlin's propaganda on Ukrainian TV." - reported the activists.

They also noted that: "Many guys who are really good journalists work in Inter, but all of them are under Kremlin censorship."

Currently, the blockade is attended by Kyiv branch of the Civic Corps Azov, Right Sector and All-Ukrainian alliance of veterans and volunteers of ATO.
