RUSSIAN HISTORIAN TOLD HOW THE KREMLIN EARNS MONEY FOR THE WAR IN UKRAINE

Due to participation in Syrian conflict the Kremlin tries to achieve rising oil prices, that will help Russia to get money to continue the war in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by the Russian historian Yuri Felshtinsky in his interview to Polish media.

"The aim of the Russian invasion in the Syrian conflict is seize an important strategic foothold in Syria; to concentrate there a certain number of the Russian troops, that will help the Kremlin to provoke global Middle East conflict. In this case the oil prices will rise again to a mark of 100-140 USD per barrel instead of current 30 USD per barrel. In this case Ruble will rise to the mark of 30 RUR per 1 USD instead of current 80 per 1. This will allow Russia to stabilize its economy and continue war in Ukraine." - said Felshtinsky.

He also added, that in the case if Assad will lose his power in Syria the Kremlin will try to rise the issue of creation the Kurdish state, which will also lead to further destabilisation of situation in the region.
