LITHUANIAN NATIONALISTS HAVE HELD A MARCH DEVOTED TO THE INDEPENDENCE DAY

A patriotic march devoted to the Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania was held on February 16 in the city of Kaunas by Lithuanian nationalists.

This year in addition to traditional honouring the memory of outstanding builders of Lithuanian statehood the activists have expressed their outrage about the influx of migrants from Africa and Middle East to the country. During the march Lithuanian patriots also express their demands to the government to resolve the issue of migration crisis and chanted the motto "Lithuania for Lithuanians!"

We recall, that Lithuania, same as other Baltic states, has publicly opposed the increase of quotas to receive refugees, however the European Commission has prepared a new proposal on the placement of refugees - A Solidarity Mechanism for all Member States, according to which the settling of migrants across the EU countries will be carried automatically.

Of course, Lithuanian patriots couldn't stay aside this problem. One of the organizers of the march - Julius Panka has noted that the march participants are opposed the attempts to turn Lithuania into another asylum for rapists, murderers and idlers, who are hiding behind the mask of peaceful refugees!
