A VETERAN OF WAR IN DONBASS WAS ARRESTED IN KYIV

Few words about the detainee - a soldier of the "Right Sector" Ukrainian Volunteer Corps with callsign "Bars." For courage shown by him Bars was awarded the Order of "National Hero of Ukraine." In February 2014 he organised the defence of Poltava Regional State Administration from capturing by separatists. Since April 2014 Bars participates in combat operations against the Kremlin-backed terrorists, including reconnaissance missions in the Crimea. I June 2014 he joined UVC Right Sector, later Friend "Bars" was appointed the commander of a separate Intelligence Group of the UVC RS.

In Donbass his intelligence group held many successful intelligence operations and combat operations, particularly in such hot points of the frontline as Pisky, Kurakhovo and outskirts of the Airport Donetsk, Savur Mogila, Stepanyvka, Avdiyvka, Mariynka. During a combat operation in the village of Stepanivka Bars was seriously wounded and was sent to hospital. Shortly after treatment of injury he rejected a reabilitation course and back to the frontline - to the Airport Donetsk, where he was contused.

On the frontline Bars's intelligence group has collaborated with the Security Service of Ukraine, National Guard and law enforcement agencies. During common operations they successfully performed operations on neutralization of leaders of terrorist groups and Russian saboteurs both the Ukrainian and the occupied territory. "They go there where nobody goes" - soldiers say about these guys.

It should be noted that Bars's intelligence group (as well as other units of the Right Sector Volunteer Corps) has not yet received a legal status.

In August of 2015 Bars received his second serious injury - numerous rib fractures, hand injuries and severe head injury, after which he was sent for rehabilitation abroad.

This winter the police came to his home with a search warrant. Later it was clarified that the order was issued by Kramatorsk city court. In addition, suspicion was made not to him, but his wife. 

Yesterday, when Friend "Bars" has back to Ukraine from rehabilitation he was detained by border guards in the airport Borispol, later it was turned out that he is in wanted by Interpol.

Friend "Bars" is charged with "standard repressive package," ie such articles of Criminal Code, which are usually used by repressive apparatus against patriots - participants of volunteer battalions.

An interesting nuance is that the criminal investigation was opened at the request of a separatists, a former MP from Donetsk region - details to be confirmed. Currently activists do all possible to release the veteran of the war in Donbass.
