ON MARCH 25 BELARUSIANS CELEBRATE NATIONAL FREEDOM DAY

Traditionally, on the 25th of March 26 our brotherly Belarusian people celebrate national Freedom Day.

This date is full of symbolism for the Belarusian nation. On March 25, 1918 Rada (parliament) of the Belarusian People's Republic adopted the third charter, according to which young Belarusian state arose on the ruins of the Russian Empire and declared its freedom and independence.

Since gaining a new chance for freedom in 1991 Belarusian patriots have started a work on the revival of the memory of this remarkable event in the history of Belarusian folk. In 1992 Belarusian nationalists initiated first celebration of Freedom Day - the anniversary of proclamation of independence of Belarusian Republic. They even proposed the government to celebrate the state Independence Day on March 25.

Unfortunately, after introduction of a neo-bolshevik and pro-Kremlin regime in Belarusian land by Alexander Lukashenko the national holiday is under prohibition, as well as traditional Belarusian coat of arms Pagonia (Pursuer) and white-red-white flag.

However, Lukashenko's regime repressive measures are not an obstacle for Belarusian patriots to celebrate their national feast. Despite the arrests and beatings, thousands of Belarusians continue to spend annual memorable action, and, without exaggeration, risking their own lifes, pay tribute to the fallen heroes in the struggle for freedom of Belarus.

We sincerely congratulate our brothers Belarusians and especially our brothers in arms - Belarusians, who are fighting with us for our freedom! A great pursuer will raise his sword again for the freedom of Belarusian land! Long Live Belarus!
