SCANDALOUS RT JOURNALIST HAS SHAMED HIMSELF IN LATVIA


Graham Phillips, a scandalous journalist from the Kremlin propaganda media resources Russia Today and Zvezda was detained today in Latvia for disorderly conduct during the ceremony of honouring the memory of Lithuanian Legionnaires - veterans of the World War II.


Recall, an annual ceremony of honouring the memory of the soldiers of Latvian Legion of the Waffen-SS is traditionally held in the capital of Latvia on March 16.

First the Russian journalist unceremoniously tried to break to the head of the column, but he was stopped by police employees. Later Philips begun to pester to the ceremony participants and call them "fascists."

After that he was detained by Riga city police, the ceremony participants have reacted with applause on the police actions. After some time the "journalist" was released. According to a spokesman of Latvian policy the detainee is accused of violating public order. Now the court will choose punishment of Phillips - a fine of 280 euros or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.

In addition, the Security Police of Latvia is considering the possibility of including Graham Phillips to the "black list," which will not allow him to enter in Latvia. Minister of Internal Affairs Richard Kozlovskis has said that there are a number of reasons to take this step.
