LVIV CITY COUNCIL HAS EMPHASIZED ON INAPPROPRIATENESS OF LGBT ACTIONS IN THE CITY

Recently so-called "LGBT activists" have announced their plans to hold so-called "festival of equality" in the city of Lviv on March 19. Particularly, within the "festival" the sodomite community has planned to held "a pedestrian LGBT-quest," which, according to the "festival" program more looks like a gay-parade.

However, the upcoming event has caused quite negative reaction among Lviv citizens. Representatives of local nationalist movements and the Lviv christian community numerously announced their intentions to prevent the LGBT action. In addition, several entertainment facilities of Lviv have already canceled their participation in the "LGBT festival."

Besides, commenting the upcoming event the Deputy City Mayor of Humanitarian Affairs Marta Litvinyuk emphasized on inappropriateness of its holding in the city due to growing wave of discontent among the citizens. 

"The announce of such event, which was previously distributed through in social networks and in a number of media has caused a wave of indignation in the society. Therefore the City Council considers it inappropriate to hold such events in Lviv to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors of our city." - said the Mayor deputy.

Mrs Litvinyuk has also noted that Lviv city council has not received any official request from the LGBT event organisers on official permission to hold the "pedestrian LGBT-quest"
