"THE CYNICAL EU-INTEGRATOR" - A FEW WORDS ABOUT VISA-FREE REGIME

There is very different attitude to visa-free regime with EU for Ukraine. A significant percentage of our citizens remains indifferent to this theme - they are trying to stay afloat in the current economic crisis in Ukraine. A certain number of Ukrainians is definitely interested in visa-free regime - tourism, working travels, etc. At last we shouldn't forget about a possibility of demographic threat, which may be caused by a wave of migration in result of cancellation the visas and opening the borders of the EU.

Recently, with a share of pathos, Petro Poroshenko has commented on the granting of visa-free regime for Ukraine: "It's not an exaggeration to say that this is a huge victory for Ukraine. Together we won for the citizens of Ukraine the right to visa-free travels to the EU countries." The pathos level of this speech was such, as if Ukraine has really got a strategic victory, which could be proudly incenter to the national history with golden letters.

A few days earlier in Brussels Poroshenko allowed himself to say something that was really difficult to accept or justify in terms of common sense and a sense of dignity. I'm talking about his thesis, according to which the Ukrainian people have "earned (!!!) visa-free regime by his blood." Literally: "Ukrainians are a reliable nation, which have earned visa-free regime not only by his actions but also by a blood, spilled for the European integration."

I cannot imagine a fool, who would shed his blood for visa-free regime. Ukrainians have different motives to participate in the hostilities at Donbass. Someone went there to defend his family and home; someone dreamed to gain a combat experience to complete the national revolution after the war; someone He took up arms because of a sense of justice; Other one just dreamed of join the army; Some people considered the war as a possibility to serve for an "abstract idea." Everyone has its own reasons, but it's hard for me to imagine someone in the ranks of Ukraine's forces, who would fight for something such a mundane like a possibility to travel to the EU without visa.

Who gave him the right to appeal to the Ukrainian blood, shed on the battlefields and speculate on this theme in his own demagogic purposes? Noone! He is a businessman and he will not stand on ceremony when it comes to his own business interests.
