THE NEW GOVERNMENT OF CANADA AND UKRAINIANS

Newly elected Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, in choosing his Cabinet, conducted the deliberately left widespread practice of gender quotas and ethnic representation.
So. In Canada, there are 600 000 Sikhs. In the new Cabinet - 4. In principle, I have nothing against it. But... Canada also is home to 1.3 million Ukrainians (the third largest settlement in the world), and among the newly appointed ministers, "ours" are only two - Christina Freeland and Mariana Myhichuk.
The question is: We, as an ethnic group who in history also suffered discrimination and persecution at the hands of the Canadian government do not deserve a relatively equal representation because we have the wrong skin color? Is it because we do not wear a turban?
As Ukrainian living in Canada, I would say that I suffer from systematic discrimination. Unfortunately I don't have the right skin colour to say that.
This is liberal equality, this is justice. This is the West.
