"RECENT ARREST OF VOLUNTEER IN MINSK IS KGB PROVOCATION" - THE TASK FORCE "BELARUS"
On November, Belarus' police reported on arrest of a man, who allegedly is a soldier of the Belarusian volunteer unit of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps "Right Sector" at Minsk railway station. The arrestee had a gun, an armoured vest, explosives, Belarusian passport and a certificate of a participant of the anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine.
The arrest of a Belarussian volunteer might have been a provocation of Belarus' secret services (KGB), aimed to discredit the task force "Belarus," which unites Belarusian fighters of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps "Right Sector."
“The tactical group "Belarus" states that all its fighters are at their quarters in Ukraine.
Therefore, the detention in Minsk seems to have been a provocation by the security services to justify the persecution of Belarusians who support Ukrainian people.
We declare that the detainee is not a member of the tactical group "Belarus." Previously we had contacted with the detainee, and the impression was that his behavior was inappropriate. We do not rule out that special services could control him.” - Belarusian volunteers wrote on their Facebook page
